Dear Nga,
Dung and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to you
and your family. Although we did not have the privilege of
knowing your Mom better, we are so deeply touched by the legacy
she has left behind in you and your family.
Your Mom was such a great woman. Her gentleness and loving was
so apparent in the ways your closely knit family supporting each
other in such difficult time. At dinner tonight, Dung and I
could not help but discuss how astounding it was to witness
such a powerfully warm and affectionate family. From the heaven
above, your Mom should be so proud of you, your brothers and
sisters, as well as all the nieces and nephews.
The next time you think about your Mom, think hard about the
gifts she had given to you and your family. When you next talk
to Anh Phong, look deeply into his eyes and feel her presence.
When you see Chi Lan blinks, feel your Mom's soul within her.
The embraces, hugs and kisses. The words of caring and
support. The quiet moments together. They are all loving
inheritances from this great woman you called Mom. She has
never left you. She is still here everywhere among your family,
if you just look. Look and you will feel her gentle touch
through the hands of Lilly. Feel her warm embrace when you hug
Kevin. And enjoy her smile in the eyes of Robin.
Don't ever blame yourself and be sad for your Mom has shown such
great love in you and your family. The rain this afternoon
could not disperse the crowd that has come to pay her respect.
But it wasn't just for your Mom, that we stood in the cold rain.
We all stayed to show our deep respect for you and your family.
We wanted to witness the strength of this great woman in you
all. Be very proud that you have known her better than anyone
else on this earth. We are certain that she is filled
with pride in heaven now.
We both wish you the very best in the days ahead, and will be
here for you.
Vui and Dung
